Banff.Quante volte sto nome m'e'rimbalzato in testa... Molto diverso da whistler per l'ubicazione e i dintorni. Qui tutto e' semplicemente maestoso. I boschi, i laghi, gli animali (ho visto alci, mufloni, capre di montagna, aquile, cervi, chipmunks...) le strade panoramiche, le piste, la gente, gli hotels (ce n'e' uno, il banff srpings hotel che sembra un castello), i negozi...un vero paradiso della montagna e tutto cio' che puo' essre collegato ad essa. Ci sono migliaia di chilometri di percorsi, mille attivita' da fare, tutto e' super organizzato. Lo scenario e', come ho detto per lake louise, maestoso!!! Le nostre alpi sono belle, ma troppo umanizzate. Qui e' tutto piu' selvaggio. Ci si sente veramente in montagna. Come nessun altro posto al mondo. Banff capitale mondiale della montagna selvaggia. Credo di poter affermare questo senza problemi. Un posto per vivere, tipo whistler, piu' isolato e affascinante.

Banff is the undisputed world wild mountain capital. Meaning, everything here is wilder and purer than it is on our european alps. It's less manned. U can really go for a hike in the wild, and meet nothing other than animals like bears, elks, wolves, cougars, eagles and much, much more. It's a place for true mountain lovers, although it's full of japanese tourists and they're loved shops. A place to live, different from whistler, more isolated and majestic. Yes, this is the word: MAJESTIC!
