Spraycan art, surf, skate, bmx…tutto in una spiaggia magnifica a poche stazioni di metro da Sydney CBD.
Sig.re e Sig.ri, Bondi Beach, Australia. Per chi non ne ha mai sentito parlare, si pronuncia “bondai” ed è una delle spiagge più famose d’Australia. Il surf non è eccezionale, le onde sono piuttosto rotte, ma non passa giorno che non ci siano surfisti in azione. Li vedi passeggiare in muta, con 15°C, il vento e la pioggia, a piedi scalzi e tavola sotto il braccio. Che persone d’altri tempi!
Se il surf non ti basta, puoi sempre spaccarti le ossa sullo skate o la bmx, nel nuovo skatepark interamente in cemento, con bowl annessa. Nel 2002 c’era solo un grosso half pipe, ora Bondi fa sul serio anche in sulla terraferma.
Per chi non ama gli sport estremi c’è sempre la possibilità di far volare un bell’aquilone colorato, o spaccarsi il fegato con fush and chups (come dicono in nuova zelanda) e veebee, la birra per antonomasia in OZ.
Ma secondo voi, quei pazzi malati che si buttano contro le onde a due passi dal muro, che sport fanno?

Bondi beach ladies and gentlemen. Skateboard, Surf, Bmx, Spraycan art, sand waves and beautiful people. And if all this isn’t enough, you can always fly your kite or simply gaze at the beauty of the place, while eating fush and chups (as the australians say it’s pronounced in new zealand, to their amusement (-:D).
You can come across surfers in overall suit, barefoot walking in 15°C and in heavy rain, or eat organic food among bohemians and hippies. In winter Bondi is like this…imagine in summer!
I need some help from you: what in the world are those three crazy kids by the pool wall doing, crashing in the mighty pacific ocean waves? Is it a new sport? Are they on Ice?
