Dopo un bel volo di 10 ore filate da Heatrow a Jo’burg, atterro nel secco e assolatissimo Gauteng, la provincia più ricca di tutta l’Africa.
Christie Liebenberg, il mio amico di Pretoria è subito li che mi aspetta, scusate il mio inglese bleso, ma ho dormito poco sull’aereo ed ero un pò fuso.
il giorno dopo via verso est, meta finale Kruger Park, ma il primo stop è Pilgrim’s Rest, paesello museo, monumento all’epopea dei cercatori d’oro di un secolo e più fa.
Il Sud Africa mi sta soprendendo ogni giorno di più. Immenso, esotico e stupendo.
Ne vedremo delle belle!
After a 10 hours flight from London Heatrow to Jo’burg, I’ve landed in dry and sunny gauteng, the richest province in all of Africa.
Christie Liebenberg, my friend from Pretoria was already there waiting for me. Sorry for my english, I was very tired, couldn’t get much sleep on the plane.
The day after, we started heading west, toward Mpumalanga and Pilgrim’s Rest, a village museum, important for the gold rush era and it’s legacy.
South Africa is fascinating, huge, exotic, to be doscovered in depth.
