While I was in Willow at Fabrizio’s kennel, he asked me if I could design a quick logo to put on the back ogf his race suit. A few minutes of brainstorm and I came up with the design showed on the first picture above. Then he we took the dog tails away as it would’ve been difficult to read from afar, and the result is what you see in the other 4 flix. My logo went all the way from Anchorage to Nome!!! What an honor!

Ero a Willow ospite di Fabrizio Lovati nel suo kennel. Mi ha chiesto di fargli un logo da mettere sul retro della tuta, sotto il pettorale. Qualche minuto di brainstorm e ho tirato fuori il logo abbozzato nella prima foto. Poi s’è deciso di togliere le code perchè altrimenti sarebbe stato poco visibile ed il gioco era fatto. Il mio logo ha fatto la Iditarod Race 2008, da Anchorage a Nome!!! Che onore!!!

The above videos are my showreel split in two, as youtube doesn’t accept videos longer than 10 minutes. I had to spit my phantasmagoric 12 minutes showreel in two halves. On wednesday I went down to Rome to pay a visit to Nat Geo Adventure/FOX HQ, to illustrate my project to the programming managers. I left them a DVD with the showreel, they didn’t say nay right away and this is already something for a little nobody like yours truly.

I gotta supply them with a story, as they don’t really know what I did around the World, despite, basically, the reason why I went…that is, I won THEIR prize, and I was THEIR “special envoy” as stated in the AAA Cercasi Viaggiatore teaser. They went through major changes and lots of things, therefore they didn’t have time to check my crazy RTW. The meeting was rather friendly though and they gave me the impression that they’re interested in my video graphical delirium.

I will give them my story nonetheless, it will be mainly about the snow planet and whatever revolves around it, like I described in “The Snow Must Go On” page, and of course, a lot more, as you guys around the World already know, some of you directly (because you were part of it), or indirectly through my blog.

crafting a tic tac for a Foxy Adventurous Whale…

Questi due video sono in realtà lo showreel di 12 minuti circa che ho preparato per Nat Geo Adventure/FOX. Li ho separati perchè youtube non accetta videos di più di 10 minuti di durata. Mercoledì scorso sono stato finalmente sulla Salaria, a Roma, nel quartier generale di FOX/Nat Geo Adventure appunto. Ho illustrato loro il mio progetto, lasciando loro un DVD col video che vedete. Risulta molto confortante il fatto che non hanno detto no subito, suggerendomi anzi di presentare una bella storia resoconto su quello che ho fatto in giro per il Mondo.

Ciò potrebbe risultare strano a prima vista, visto che io ho fatto il giro del Mondo come LORO inviato e che ho vinto il LORO premio, come avete visto dal blog o dal teaser AAA Cercasi Viaggiatore. Ovviamente hanno subito molti rimescolamenti interni e hanno sempre molto da fare, per cui il mio minuscolo contributo è passato quasi del tutto inosservato. L’incontro è stato molto amichevole, e direi anche costruttivo. Ho avuto l’impressione che fossero interessati al mio delirio videografico.
Avranno la mia storia in ogni caso, anche se in questo blog è già presente nella pagina The Snow Must Go On. Come sapete sarà sullo stato del pianeta neve e tutto quello che ruota intorno ad esso, ma non solo. Molti di voi hanno preso parte alla miriade di altre avventure, o le hanno seguite qui sul mio blog.
Auguratemi buona fortuna mentre io mi accingo a confezionare la mia piccola tic tac per la balena FOX avventurosa…

NYC resta sempre affascinantissima. Rappresenta l’apice dell’ambizione umana, presenta gli estremi più feroci del pianeta, è sede di ridicole organizzazioni quali le nazioni unite (il minuscolo è voluto). Ed ecco perchè è la giusta capitale del mondo in cui viviamo. A NYC, il mondo alla rovesca is in your face, come le slam dunks dei Celtics quel giorno al Madison Square. Times Square è la piazza del Mondo.

NYC is always fascinating. It represent the apex of human ambition, it has the most ferocious extremes on this planet, it’s HQ for some organizations like the un (the small cap is intended here). And this is why is the right capital for the World we live in. In NYC, the upside down World is in your face, like the slam dunks the Celtics were scoring in the Garden that day. Times Square is the perfect World Square.
