Earth Hour (No Comments)

From the WWF Earth Hour website:

“Created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming.

This simple act has captured the hearts and minds of people all over the world. As a result, at 8pm on the 29 March, 2008 millions of people in some of the world’s major capital cities, including Copenhagen, Toronto, Chicago, Melbourne, Brisbane, Tel Aviv and Manila will unite and switch off for Earth Hour.”

I will produce a short video in occasion of the Earth Hour, in the mean time, check my Climate Witness page, if you haven’t yet.

Earth Hour 2008 – Video featuring Nonno Vito (No Comments)

As Climate Witness for Chamonix and the Mont Blanc Area, I took action in describing my observations about climate change and how to contribute for the Earth Hour 2008. I was asked to do so by Nigel Allan, WWF Sydney, and I gladly accepted. The result is this video featuring my 100 years old Grandpa, Nonno Vito, that witnessed the arrival of the electric bulb. They used to say “they put light into eggs”.

Londinium by bike (No Comments)

London Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, falling down.
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair lady!

Build it up with iron bars,
Iron bars, iron bars.
Build it up with iron bars,
My fair lady!

Iron bars will bend and break,
Bend and break, bend and break.
Iron bars will bend and break,
My fair lady!

Build it up with needles and pins,
Needles and pins, needles and pins.
Build it up with needles and pins,
My fair lady!

Pins and needles rust and bend,
Rust and bend, rust and bend.
Pins and needles rust and bend,
My fair lady!

Build it up with penny loaves,
Penny loaves, penny loaves.
Build it up with penny loaves,
My fair lady!

Penny loaves will tumble down,
Tumble down, tumble down.
Penny loaves will tumble down,
My fair lady!

Build it up with silver and gold,
Silver and gold, silver and gold.
Build it up with silver and gold,
My fair lady!

Gold and silver I’ve not got,
I’ve not got, I’ve not got.
Gold and silver I’ve not got,
My fair lady!

Here’s a prisoner I have got,
I have got, I have got.
Here’s a prisoner I have got,
My fair lady!

What’s the prisoner done to you,
Done to you, done to you?
What’s the prisoner done to you,
My fair lady!

Stole my watch and broke my chain,
Broke my chain, broke my chain.
Stole my watch and broke my chain,
My fair lady!

What’ll you take to set him free,
Set him free, set him free?
What’ll you take to set him free,
My fair lady!

One hundred pounds will set him free,
Set him free, set him free.
One hundred pounds will set him free,
My fair lady!

One hundred pounds we have not got,
Have not got, have not got.
One hundred pounds we have not got,
My fair lady!

Then off to prison he must go,
He must go, he must go.
Then off to prison he must go,
My fair lady!

NYC Times Square (No Comments)

English text below.

NYC resta sempre affascinantissima.

NYC is always fascinating. It represent the apex of human ambition, it has the most ferocious extremes on this planet, it’s HQ for some organizations like the un (the small cap is intended here). And this is why is the right capital for the World we live in. In NYC, the upside down World is in your face, like the slam dunks the Celtics were scoring in the Garden that day. Times Square is the perfect World Square.
