Godfrey Reggio and the Qatsi trilogy (2 Comments)

  • Koyaanisqatsi (1982) aka: Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance
  • Powaqqatsi(1988) aka: Powaqqatsi: Life in Transformation
  • Naqoyqatsi (2002) aka: Naqoyqatsi: Life as War

English

I started with Baraka a movie celebrating the Planet we live in, about humans and their dwellings mainly, directed by Ron Fricke, and passed to me by my mate Max Lanzeni.
Then thanks to my sister Anita, I discovered that Francis Ford Coppola produced a similar movie in the early 80s. I summed these elements up, and the result is google as usual: Ron Fricke was the man behind the camera for Godfrey Reggio’s Qatsi trilogy:

  • Koyaanisqatsi (1982) aka: Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance
  • Powaqqatsi(1988) aka: Powaqqatsi: Life in Transformation
  • Naqoyqatsi (2002) aka: Naqoyqatsi: Life as War

Check them out, they’re a magnificent portrait of our barbarious civilization.

Andrehaero on/su TGR Valle d’Aosta (4 Comments)

Hey guys, this is a low quality version of a video interview broadcasted on regional news on the Aosta Valley branch of RAI, Italian national television. So now, this bald crazy traveling cop, that sprays on walls and comes down the mountains riding a board, was featured on tv, on prime time.
A big thank to Maria Teresa Zonca, the RAI journalist that was couragious enough to feature yours truly.
I’m deeply honored, and I hope my documentaries will be adequate.

Unboxing MBP (2 Comments)

Four years ago, I had a website, www.haero.com, but not a blog. Well, to be precise, there was the part dedicated to my first Round the World, that was effectively a blog already, but not quite like this one. So back then, I couldn’t have had a way to share with you a little bit of my geek madness: unboxing a new Apple laptop, the mighty Mac Book Pro !

Cheating on GeoChallenge! (5 Comments)

Now, I’ve been traveling a fair portion of this planet, roughly 18% of it, and I’ve always been interested in Geography and Geopolitics. Lately I’ve been playing a game on Facebook, Geochallenge, and improving my score steadily. I think I could make it past 20.000 if I don’t make errors and reach 30 correct answers per stage.
I finally discovered how the high scorers made it: by cheating.
Yes, it’s very lame, but you can download a bot and have it finding the correct answers for you in superfast time. Check the youtube video!
What a bunch of lamers!

Jacque Fresco & Future By Design (8 Comments)

There is A LOT to say about this incredible 91 years old Human, and in order to not do a lame cut and paste, I just point you to the Wikipedia page about him.

Jacque Fresco friends. He’s got such revolutionary and positive ideas that you really need to pause and think deep after reading hearing and viewing what he has to say in his Future By Design documentary, and his many other publications.
He’s life is truly outstanding. Someone calls him the new Leonardo Da Vinci. If anything, he’s self thought just like the Genius of Geniuses.

The part of his theories I like the most is how he blasts our system, the establishment, calling it primitive and barbarious, based on scarcity and resource wasting, and stressing that actually there’s no such thing as a civilized human yet. We’re all emerging and we keep doing so for our entire lives. I find this to be utterly true.

ITALIANO
